Our kids are always cracking us up with their questions and comments. We're afraid we're going to forget all of these cute quotes, so we're archiving them here.

Upon slurping up the last of the milk left in her bowl after eating Cocoa Puffs this morning, DD3 exclaimed, "Chocolate Milk, you're the best!"

Hot Off The Presses
DS decided to write a family newspaper.
"So, Mom, is there anything interesting going on in your life?"
Flattered he would do a feature on me, I answered, "Hmmmm.... let me thi..."
"Oh, never mind," he interrupted. "I'll think of something."
Apparently there was a deadline.

Bible Study
Now that DD10 is getting older, I'm much more concerned about the content of the books she's reading, so when she came to me with questions about a woman bleeding after having a baby, I was immediately on guard.
"What book was that in?" I demanded, appalled.
"The Bible," she replied.
Darn Leviticus.

Shirking Responsibility
DS8 to DD4: "I bet you don't know how to put this bag in the trash can."
DD4 (obstinately): "Yes, I can!"
DD8: "Show me."
And THAT'S how you get your little sister to do your chores for you.

DD4 has posted a sign at the foot of her bed: No big brothers, No big sisters, No Sophies.
Apparently she needs some personal space.

Food Critic
"Don't get me wrong, Mom. It was a great meal. I just don't ever want you to make it again."
Now how could I possibly get that wrong?

Fine Dining
"I will treasure this meal for the rest of my life," said DS8 while I cooked his frozen chicken nuggets. If only he was so easy to please in every aspect of life.

"This church is like paradise on earth," said DS8 while balancing his pack of Starbursts and balloon in one hand and bright, green glow-stick and half-eaten M&M cookie in the other.

"Mom," DS8 sighed as he hugged me this morning, "we really need to make the most out of every second, cuz today is the only August 28, 2009, we'll ever get!"

Future Aspirations
DS8 told us he wants to be a tourist when he grows up. That or a Lego engineer.
Guess I wont count on him supporting me when I'm old.

Eavesdropping
"I wasn't eavesdropping, Mom. I was just listening to what you were saying on the phone."

Artistic Endeavors
"My goodness, that princess has big ears," I commented regarding DD4's latest princess drawing.
"Oh, those aren't her ears," she corrected. "Those are puffed sleeves."
Of course they are.

Earliest Memory
DS8 told me today he couldn't remember if it was black or red inside my tummy. Oh, to be inside his brain.
