I have to admit, I didn't ever consider that combo.

Teaching Moment

I felt compelled to interrupt when I heard DD4's sentence begin with, "When I have a booger that is too yucky to put in my mouth..." It seemed like a good teaching moment.

Latin Lessons

DD11 was telling me about one of the songs they are singing in choir. She said, "It's just a bunch of gibberish, weird sounding nonsense words, but it's so pretty!" 

As she recited the "gibberish," I realized it was actually Latin.

New Baby

When asked if she wants the new baby to be a boy or a girl, DD5 responded, "I really want a DOG!"

Biblical Correctness

DS9 is concerned that in our nativity scene the wise men are arriving from the west rather than the east.

Chewing Gum

"Whenever I chew gum, I feel like I'm a bad guy in a movie, and I have to smack." (DD5)

Men's Fashion

As we were leaving Mens Warehouse, DS9 looked skeptically at a manequin and said, "Is that a purse or a European shoulder bag?"

Terms of Agreement

DD5 agreed to play pirates with DS9 only if she could be a princess pirate who always does ballet.

Travelling Games

Question #1: Who was the first man to walk on the moon? 

DD4: God?

Equal Rights

Upon seeing Joe Pool Lake, DS9 announced, "This lake is man-made." 

Offended, DD5 countered, "Huh-uh! It's for girls, too!"

"Mom! She's using your name in vain!" said DD4 of DD5

Verbal Instructions

"I believe you, but I don't understand a word you just said." (DD5's response when I was explaining how to draw a cube.)

Duck, Duck, Goose

DD5 and DD4 are playing Duck, Duck, Goose -- just the two of them. While DD5 is it, DD4 is sitting on the floor waving her hand wildly, "Pick me! Pick me!"
